When sightseeing at the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. What beautiful sights.
A must see. The road is 30 miles long with stops all the way. You can stop at the Inn. They restored it. Must have been great to spend the nite there.

Summer 2017 Travels

This year I decided to just sightsee all over the western US from AZ to SD . I'm going to make a big cycle going up traveling north east to SD and heading south west back to Quartzsite AZ for the winter. I only going to try and stay in free areas. So far been on the road 5 weeks and at my 4th stop out of 42 .
I've stopped at Lake Havasu AZ. Presscott Az, Sedona AZ, and now in Windslow AZ.

Season Ending in az

Well another winter in Quartzsite az is about over and going to be getting hot soon.
Going to take the summer off (not going to workamp) going to travel all summer. Need to go sight seeing. Travel with a girl I meet couple months ago. So it be fun sharing the travels together.
Will be posting the sight.
I'm walking more and better not falling down. Have a cane and Beethoven to help.

1year and I started to ride my bike

I had a busy year, I got here in Quartzsite last year in September but still was not walking very good. Had no way to go into town. I meet a guy here and he would drive me into town to get stuff.
In December I got my bicycle out and put all my leathers on including my helmet and then practice riding. Balancing. It wasn't pretty but after a week of every day riding i was riding great. I never fell down.
After that I got my motorcycle out and practice riding it around in the desert , stoppong , turning .then after a week I rode into town. Wasn't much for leaning into curves but I was riding.

Been riding for over a year now , and can lean into curves too. Went to the black hills of SD for the summer.great riding there.
Now back in AZ haven't figured out were Im going too this summer.

Been awhile.

I made it last year to Quartzsite AZ took 4 days. Still unable to walk with out a walker. Beethoven (my friend & service dog) helps alot.
Got here and drove into the desert and went to turn around and got stuck in the sand. Waited around 4 hours trying to figure out what to do. When a guy drove by and helped me. Were still friends today.
I started walking more and then I got out my bicycle and rode it it was not pretty.  But I never fell. Rode it for a couple days then I rode my motorcycle just here in the desert till I felt good about . I then went for a ride in town. What freedom.

Ready To Travel

Hi I think it's time to move on, I want to travel from GA to AZ which is 1900 miles, Now the map programs said drive in two days, I don't think so it will take me about 4 day or more. I plan on heading for hwy 40 which about half way About OK to CA it'sI40/ Route 66, which I alway wanted to see. I will only dive 4/4 which is 4 hours or 400 miles. then stop for the night. I like Boondocking (camping Free with no hookup) I'm Planning on leaving Sunday if I can get out, I been wanting to leave but it keeps on raining and my RV is down a grasses hill, so I have to drive a 12 ton RV up hill on grass to the road. Wish me luck.
I'm still having trouble with my eye sight, but I don't want to just sit here and wait to die. I want out.
They said I would not walk and need to be in a Home, Well I showed them I been walking about 2 miles a day.  I guess if there a will there's a way.

help when I need It

I was worried about traveling alone, But I got to thinking I always have my phone that there should be a app for that :)

well I found one, "ICE Card" the app has a widgets with a button, If I need help I just press and my phone calls 911 and any person I pick. they all get a message that I need help and all get GPS were I am. 

I know it works because when I was setting it up I hit the button,,, well phone went nuts, family called me, 911 called me 4 times and they sent out 2 police men. to check on me. Boy that was fun day.

So now I feel a little better about traveling alone.
